Bunnies at the Library

The Chelsea Library hosted another great event for kids called "Bunny Storytime".  The flyer posted said there would be live bunnies to pet, Easter stories to hear, and Easter crafts!  Us Boone's were in! My mom was still in town with us since Bob was still in Alabama so it was very nice to have an extra set of hands and eyes to keep the kids in line. When we arrived the bunnies were just getting there.  The farmer lady just placed their cage on the floor while tons of children pounced on them.  I don't know if it's the teacher in my but the lack of organization to chaos just gets me.  It makes it difficult for a parent to enforce rules when crazy chaos is the norm.  Anyways, the boys patiently waited as long as they could to touch the bunnies.

After the petting of the live bunnies the boys became a little impatient while we waited for the storytime to begin so we played "I Spy" out the library window to pass the time.

Next, Mrs. Karen, the librarian, led story time with books, fingerplays, songs, and movements.
Finally it was craft time!   The boys created little bunny baskets.

Take a look at those faces...had a blast at bunny story time!
