visitors

We have had some visitors today. Bob's mom, my mom, dad, and grandma/grandpa Grocho. He is great. They brought him to our room this moning and we do not want to give him back to the nursery. Bob was the first to change his diaper. The nurse came in to show us how to treat the circumcision during a diaper change and Carter thought it would be funny to pee all over everyone. It was seriously like a fire hose. It shot out of his bassinet all over the sheets and pillows of my bed as well as all over their medical equipment and the floor. Bob was laughing so hard that he could not find anything to control the hose and ended up cupping his hand about 5 inches from Carter's body trying to catch the pee. All the while I am defending myself from about 5 feet away on the bed. The nurse thought it was the funniest thing ever and said that we need to call for a different nurse next time. Wow!
The update on last night.... We ended up in a c-section. They really prefer that the baby go skin to skin with mother right after birth (kargarooing) so that the baby's body temp will rise safely. Since we went c-section I was not able do the kangarooing. Bob volunteered to do the kangarooing in my place. That is why he is in the gown with Carter skin to skin below. This worked perfect! Carter even went after Bob for milk. The nurses tried to get picture of that!!
Thanks again to everyone with the comments. It is great to hear from you all.

Wow, so you ended up with a c-section after all that ironing board work? I did notice the operating room in the hospital pics (looked familiar:) Hang in there...it is totally worth it! You are going to be such a great mommy!!

Wow, we are loving the pics and updates! What a little cutie! So glad to see that everyone is doing well. We still can't believe he's finally here! It seems like it was just yesterday you told Deb that you were preggers! I know you didn't want a c section but the recovery was truly not too bad and I was loving the fact that using the bathrooom was a non-issue. Believe me!!!
Keep sharing pics!

Oh Heidi!
If you ever give up teaching you have just GOT to get into comedy! Keep notes because I think you could make a fortune on a book!
We love you to pieces!

Those TEE-PEE things don't seem so funny know do they! I can't tell you how happy I am for you all. I love that it took less than 24 hours for you all to get peed on! This kid cracks me up already. He is going to fit right in at the crazy Boone house!

He is so precious! I can tell by his head there was no way he was coming out any other way! You don't always see a c-section baby with a cone head, especially when there was no pushing involved! And see it's all about him being here now! Wish you a quick recovery so you can continue to enjoy your little one.
