Contractions Coming!

Last night I got the cervidal at 8:45. I fell asleep around 11pm. I woke up at 2:55am having contractions on my own! I was so stinking pumped. It is mostly in my back=back labor. They were consistently 4-6 minutes apart. They took the cervidal out this morning around7:45am. I took a shower and eat toast. Then I puked it all back up! Yuck! Then we started the pitocin again at 8:15. I got really tired then and went to sleep for about an hour. The doctor on call came in and checked my cervix. It is very thin however still very far back behind the head. She thinks that the pitocin will help to move the cervix forward so she can break my water. There is also the option of going home and trying again on Monday. I really don't want to go home without this baby but I am tired and don't want a c-section. We are going to wait to see what the doctor has to say when she comes. I keep getting sick whenever I eat anything even when it's clear liquids, jello, and Popsicles. Please send me your strength because I am fading fast.

I know this seems very frustrating but no one ever said it was going to be easy! If there is no indication for a c section I think you are doing the right thing in waiting it out. He just really wasn't ready to come out for sure! Even if you have to go home until Monday at least you get to sleep in your own bed and be more comfortable. And who knows maybe he will decide to come out on his own then. I will hope and pray though that you progress and do not have to choose to go home. I still think keep changing position while you are laying in bed. Obviously his head just isn't in the right place to make your cervix dilate. I know you can do this, try and stay focused on the end result and I promise you that in the end all the yucky parts will be erased by joy and happiness. You will forget everything but the good parts! So get your rest and stay focused! It's not easy, thats why they call it Labor!

Okay maybe a laugh will help things along. So I have followed you blog for the last few months and today I was reading the comments left by others. I could hear Lee Ann cheering you on and Mrs. Opal and Alyssa saying go Heidi go! It's little like you are our own Truman Show with this little blog. (Thank God it is not live on Web Cam! We are friends and I love ya but that would be creepy!) Hang in there mama he is coming! If you need anything from the outside, let me know!

Oh...Uncle Matt....we agree a web cam would be way too creepy!

I have been allowing Alyssa to read this on her own and she asks me questions which I try to answer both honestly and carefully. I do believe that Alyssa may NEVER, NEVER, EVER have sex!!!

See...Mrs. Boone is STILL teaching Alyssa a LOT! Probably way more than Alyssa ever wanted to know!

But, seriously...we are praying for you Heidi :)
