Carter turns 13

And just like that our firstborn is officially a teenager.  This guy gives us a run for our money on the daily.  Parenting is the hardest job in the world but parenting a teenager makes you second guess every decision you make.  Teenagers crave independence without the expectation of accountability.  Bob and I are in uncharted waters with this guy and are learning along the way on how to parent a teenager.

Maw Maw and Paw Paw took Carter out to his restaurant of choice "The Cheesecake Factory" on his birthday to celebrate.  He thought that was absolutely the best to have them all to himself.

For his birthday he wanted a full day at Cedar Point with as many of his friends that I could fit in my mini van.  It was a day where we arrived at the gate at 10am and left at 6pm. They were able to ride, eat, and drink while I worked on my laptop throughout the park.

Bring on the teenage years!
