Landon Turns Five!
Five Years old!
Landon has been anxiously awaiting his birthday for months. Every time we pass a new toy or new activity he asks for it for his birthday so I have quite the list of things he wanted! Thank goodness he is very easy to please!
Each birthday starts out with doughnuts and measuring on the growth chart to see how much he has grown in one year. We were shocked to see that Landon had grown 3 inches in one year!

Maw Maw came up to join in the birthday celebration. Thank goodness because she was able to keep her birthday scavenger hunt tradition going! It is so fun to see Carter read the clues and Landon yell out the answer as he runs to the next spot. At each spot there was a little gift to open: cheddar chez mix, cheese pringles, fruit snacks, juice boxes…you know all of Landon's favorite goodies! The last clue lead him to his big gift…A NEW BIKE! He was so surprised! He quickly put on his helmet and they went on a bike ride around the block. Just when they got back Paw Paw showed up to surprise Landon!
Landon wanted to go to Bob Evan's for his birthday lunch so when we got there it was a 40 minute wait. Instead he said Old McDonalds would be just fine so we drove over there for lunch. When we got there Aunt D, Addie, and Lincoln surprised us too! Next, our plan was to head to Pump It Up (indoor inflatable place) but when we got there they informed us that it was closed because the air conditioner was broken. I was so bummed because there were others coming to meet us there. Plans quickly changed and we went to a park to play with friends and then to Menchie's!
Back at the house we ended the day with a cookout, cake, and ice cream. Grandma and Grandpa Grocho made the trip up to see the kids too. Landon chose a penguin cake (I know big surprise right?). The weather was great and the birthday boy was so happy to be getting older!
