Couples Trip 2022 Put In Bay

Image
It's been so hard now as our kids get older and lives get busier to schedule our couples trip in advance.  We got a chance to sneak away from Wednesday afternoon to Friday afternoon and we snatched it right up!  With such a short amount of time available we decided to stay local and visit Put in Bay.   Just a quick ferry ride across the lake brought us to our sweet condo right by the airport.  It had a beautiful balcony where we sat and admired the view.  At the boathouse bar we stopped first to grab a beverage.  I had the most vibrant blue frozen drink.  it was delightful but it turned my lips, teeth, and tongue bright blue for hours.  Mojito Bay was a sand floor outdoor beach bar with swings around the front bar.  It was so fun.  There was a band playing great music.  We closed the Roundhouse Bar down that night as we danced and sang with The Sellouts.   When we returned to our condo and the sky was just full of tw...

Spending time with the Hammers

Thanks to the 40th birthday party Amy was able to bring her kids out to our house for a few days! We took the kids to Cedar Point and Cedar Shores.  Kirsi was having a blast on all the kid rides in Camp Snoopy.  The big kids really liked all the super fast roller coasters.  The next day, Haley and Aubrey headed to Ashland for a volleyball camp.  We quick took Kirsi and Tyler with us to Dave and Busters.  They went back to their house on Saturday.  After finishing our baseball season, we jumped in the car and head over to Amy's house for a day.  Her backyard is the best place for relaxing and working.   Kirsi, Carter, and I were going through small ties and she want to take a photo wearing them.  The biggest event was Kirsi getting her ear pierced!  This has been something that she has wanted for a very long time.  She was so brave. Not one tear at all.  On our way home we stopped back at school for a quick photo opp....

Heidi turns 40!

Turning 40 years old has been something that I admit has been hard to do.  So in an attempt to ease into my forties, I created a full day of fun activities with as many friends and family as I could.  Thanks to my friend, Jess she hosted a slow flow birthday yoga class. We enjoyed coffee, bagels, and tea afterward. Next we ventured to Go Ape! Treetop zipline adventure in Strongsville.  Some of the kids were able to join too! I may of had to encourage Alissa along a few times because she was not as excited about the heights! The evening concluded with appetizers and drinks at The Shipyards in Lorain.  Amy was able run on over to celebrate with me! So many great friends and family came to celebrate with me. It made getting older a lot easier.

The time we look forward to every summer is when Danielle and her family come to visit.  This year they were able to stay for a full 2 weeks at our house.  We jam-packed every minute of every day with fun! One day we ventured out to Avon to play at a park.  We played baseball, and soccer, and ate popsicles. On Maw Maw's birthday we grabbed her favorite cake from "Nothing bundt cake" and sang to her!   While they were here the older boys participated in their first 3v3 soccer tournament.  They played super hard but came one goal short in the championship game.  Thankfully they were here because we had three different baseball games at the same time at three different locations.  Maylee and Addie came with me to Carter's game.  Maylee loved to talk to Carter in the dugout during the game.  The temperatures were hot while they were here so we hooked up the slip n slide and also had water balloon fights.  I scored free tickets to the L...
