Panthers Baseball: What a season!!!

This baseball season has been one full of fun, great memories, wonderful families, and so much more.  The boys started the season with the Panthers Baseball Black team coached by Bob.  This was a choice we made as a family to give our boys a chance to enjoy the game and get an opportunity to play multiple positions together with their friends without as much pressure.

This was their team photo this year...it's my favorite!

Putting in time in the pre season to get stronger!

Boys worked out and practiced at the new local indoor facility...Legends Athletics.

Game 1 of the season was a bit cold.
We were thankful that the sweatshirts we purchased for the boys could be used as a jersey when it was in the low 40's for games.

If you look real close in the background, you can see Penny cheering on Landon’s diving catch.  Penny came to as many games as she could and was often referred to as the team mascot.  Players would come out of the dugout between innings to pet and love on her.
The boys absolutely love having time with their dad playing a sport they enjoy!

Our field is only about 1 mile from Lake Erie.  Jameson may have taken some seagull poop to the hand.  Hahahaha
It's national pizza party day so after practice the team stayed to enjoy pizza together!!

These boys have fun with each other on the field and off the field too!

Bob lead this team with his calm and positive attitude.  This is just what all these boys needed.

Our State Tournament was in Bowling Green this year.  The team stayed at the hotel together which consisted of games of hallway hide and seek, tag, video games, and lots of pool fun.

We played well and our last game was so close and intense.  Carter hit a homerun that evening!  We ended up losing that evening but it was such a great effort by the whole team.

The Vilts were in town during this tournament and surprised the boys for the late-night game.  They had quite a cheering section!

We ended the tournament with an ice cream sundae party in the lobby.

You can just see the happiness in the faces of these boys and the coaches.

Our summer has been full of rain, rain, rain...one of our last home games a huge rain came through mid-game which resulted in a early end to a game but many of the kids stayed to play in the rain and in the huge puddles.

This season the big tournament for the team was in Ocean City, Maryland.  We loaded up all the kids and headed out to enjoy the time with the boys.

We won our first game and then we quick changed into our swimsuits and headed out to the beach.

We spent over 4 hours out there playing, boogie boarding, playing volleyball, throwing the football, jumping waves, and eating pizza.

While we were at the beach, the tournament notified us that a huge weather storm was coming in so they wanted to move up the game start times by two hours to get games in before. That meant we had a 7am game start so we quick gathered our things and headed back to the hotel to get some rest for the day.
Our first game even at 7am was hot and humid.

The siblings had a blast digging and building a fort for a toad they found.

Landon's only request while we were there was to eat snow crab legs...he finished off three crab leg cluster.
One day of the tournament there was so much rain all the games were canceled so we gathered everyone up and headed out to the boardwalk to shop.
Our first stop was the Ron Jon Surf Shop.

The rain stopped and we ended the evening at a go-kart racing place. This was the highlight of their trip for sure.

Back at the hotel our team took over the outdoor pool where they played, jumped in with belly flops, keep away, and Twizzlers!

One of the great things about this team is the parents...all the families are calm, positive, and just great to be around!

Mr. Dotson brought his amazing camera and snagged so many great pictures of all the boys on both teams.  Here are just a few of our favorite players...

Sibling love as they hang out in the back of the dugout!

Great work at the Youth World Series in Ocean City Maryland

This has been the best season the boys have had so far!

Boys were on a mission post game to get autographs and see some of the star players from either team.

They finally tracked down a pithcer from the Nationals named Tanner Rainey that tried to walk out of the stadium with his wife.  He was going to ride his electric scooter home before the boys stopped him.  🤣🤣
