Week Seven: Quarantine April 27-May 3
Staying home and staying healthy and safe.
Carter has been doing a lot of research on how to train dogs. Here he is trying so hard to train him to sit, shake, and stay. He is a work in progress!
Leo is really getting tall and his paws are starting to get pretty big. He loves being with the boys on every adventure we take.
I am still missing being in my classroom with my students. This was the week we would have been learning all about oceans and would have taken our field trip to the Cleveland Aquarium. Each day I continue to teach live to my students on Facebook and try to dress up if I can to match the theme of the week.
At the end of each teaching day, I do a science experiment with the students. Our favorite one from the week is called a bubble. sock. My boys enjoyed doing it too!
As these weeks at home progress, Nolan struggles more and more. He goes through moments of anger about schoolwork, crying about missing his friends or what his brothers are doing or just moments of pure stubbornness. These moments whether big or small require lots of patience and deep breaths.
This is a moment in the midst of a standoff while on a bike ride around the neighborhood.
Leo stills loves falling alseep with the boys at night. They take turns passing him around on their beds but he often ends up with Landon the most.
Baseball for Nolan has been officially cancelled and so has the spring soccer season. We are currently waiting for Landon and Carter's league to see if we can have a late summer season starting in July. Finding time to spend time together as a family is one of our favorite things to do.
Lots and lots of bike rides and walks to Beaver Creek to wear out the boys and the dog.
Each year in our kindergarten classroom we order caterpillars for our students to watch the life cycle up close. I decided to order some for the boys and I to watch and share with my students. We are so intrigued by how large they are getting.
Leo is able to get into the APL to have his boy dog surgery this weekend. The boys are having a hard time leaving him for one night but we hope that he does well. We will pick him up on Monday evening. This is where he wanted to ride in the car...silly dog.
