Texas part two...San Antonio

One of the evenings, all the boys drove over to Top Golf to swing the clubs a bit.  Bob's friend from high school lives near Austin and he drove down to meet them.

They had a blast.

Fun times shared together!

On Landon's 8th birthday we headed to a fun play place for the kids.  There was an American Ninja Warrior course the boys really enjoyed.  The adults even tried it out but boy was it harder than it looks.

 

 

Aunt D had an inflatable water slide delivered for the kids to play on! It was so much fun.

It was a super 8th birthday for Landon.

The next morning we loaded up the cars and headed to San Antonio to explore.  

Our first stop was The Alamo.  It was so hot and we were all sweating like stuck pigs but we still took in some history.

 

 

 

 

The River Walk was absolutely a must stop.  It is a stone walk that has water flowing along side.  There are restaurants and shops all along the side too.

Our hotel was right on the River Walk.  The pool for the hotel was on the rooftop.  The boys loved it but wow did it make me nervous.

We lucked out and took a River Boat tour that evening.  

 

The next morning we decided to walk a mile to a local restaurant that served a 3 lb. cinnamon roll for breakfast. It was hot to trot that morning but so worth it.

Our last stop in San Antonio was the children museum called The Do-seum. They had such cool stuff there!

Landon's favorite place was the Spy Kids section where they could dress up like a spy and look for clues.

Carter's favorite place was the digital world where he could draw and then scan his creation into a super large computer.  It was super amazing!
