First week of summer!!!
As soon as the last box was packed in my classroom, I jumped in the car to grab the boys from Becky to get summer started.
Grabbing some shades for the sun!
I had a few errands I needed to run at the Sandusky Mall. We walked in through Books A Million (BAM!)...we spent over 90 minutes in the children's books area just reading books and playing with puppets. I love not having to rush. That feeling of being able to stop and enjoy the moments.
Our favorite summer tradition is to create our "summer bucket list." We use large chart paper Post-it's that we can hang on the wall and check off the activities as we complete them. It is so fun to listen to them decide what event they want to write on the list.
Thursday morning we jumped in the car and met Matt, Lilly, and Ben at Bacon Woods for a nature hike, picnic lunch, and a splash at Mill Hollow. On our nature hike we saw a snake hiding in a tree, a frog, and lots of snails. It was the perfect weather to wade in the water and throw rocks!
