Camping tradition
For the past three summers we have traveled down to JellyStone Campground in Big Prairie down by the Amish country. We wrangle in all the cousins so they can play together. From the moment we arrived, the kids were playing and didn't stop until we would drag them to bed at night. The weather was beautiful.
Extra large water balloon fight and a piñata smash are activities we can't leave without doing.
Here is the beloved "tetherball". The kids can't get enough of this simple silly game!
One of the many cool activities offered at this facility is putt putt golf. The boys spent more time here than they did the pool this year.
This gem stone mining spot hooks the boys every time. This year the boys remembered to take their own money to spend on a sand bag full of gems to sift through. They could have stayed there all day sifting out gems and locating them on the identification poster. We brought them home and are currently tumbling rocks in the basement.
Every year someone in our camper has thrown up...I was thinking this might just be the year we beat the curse. No dice...Landon woke up early that morning radiating heat and threw up into my sleeping bag. The next morning he was back to his normal full of energy self. I am not sure why he was sick other than maybe dehydration because we played hard and didn't drink as much as we could have.
Making memories with these kids together fills my heart full of love
