Color run 2015

It's that time again…The Color Run.  I can't tell you how many times throughout the year the boys talk about doing this and counting down the days until the next one.  This year the Lokers decided to drive down from Michigan and share in the experience with us.  As we woke up the sky was full of clouds and a chilly breeze was blowing through but at the start of the race the sun broke through the clouds and the temperature began to rise.  It was a beautiful day to get splashed with color!!!
Before the race photo!

Look at the smiles on Nolan and Abby's face!

As we walked through downtown Sandusky we stumbled upon Jackson street pier.  Jackson was claiming the lake as "Jackson water".  It was so cute!!

The little guy got covered with color.  He walked quite a bit of the 5K.

All of us together

Our favorite part is the ending of the race when you get your own packet to throw around while the music is bumping so loud you can't hear yourself think.  Check the Lokers after the race photo…

Here is our end of the race photo…Nolan was exhausted and quickly fell asleep after this photo.

When we got back, showered, and ate Laura and I threw the kids in the car to visit a local apple orchard while the boys stayed back to watch Michigan football. It was sunny and super fun!

Riding the hayride back to the orchard

Carry on Warrior…we are crazy for taking 5 kids (Owen was napping) by ourselves to an orchard!

After the orchard we had time to squeeze in a visit to Schopple Gardens.  This is one of our favorite places to explore and we were happy to take the Lokers with us.  The kids could have stayed all day throwing rocks into the water.

Carter asked Laura to take a photo of him on top of this rock as he looked off into the distance…random…but hysterical!

As the end of the trip was quickly approaching the wheels started to quickly fall off the cart, as the kids started to fall/slip into the water and mud.  It started happening and all we could do was laugh because it was so ridiculous.  Nolan went back to the car with wet shoes and pants.

These kids have so much fun together!
