Back to Chelsea for a Visit!
This past week Bob worked back at the Jackson, Michigan site so we used this as an excuse to head back and visit with family and friends. I drove the boys up on Wednesday and Aunt Katie, Jeremy, Autumn and Gage met us at the hotel to splash around in the pool. The boys were more than excited to see them and have lots of fun together. Early Thursday we headed back to Chelsea to meet some of our friends at the playground to play. It was so cute to see how the kids reunited with hugs and smiles. For lunch we went back to Zuzana's house where she cooked and baked a special cake for us to enjoy. The boys could have stayed and played for hours. Greta loves spending time with Nolan.
Friends forever
Thursday night was "girls night" and it was well overdue. I can't tell you how much fun it is to get together with them. I love being able to relax and enjoy each others company.
Friday morning we headed out to Silver Lake for the day! It was beautiful weather and the kids played so well together.
Filling and stirring.
A great day at the beach
That evening Charles and Zuzana graciously hosted an impromptu BBQ in their backyard. We all had such a great time eating and watching our kids play together.
The annual Sights and Sounds Festival was going on so we stopped down to play at the kids zone. Abby was very interested in getting her face painted. As soon as the boys saw her face they immediately wanted theirs' painted also. I was pleasantly surprised when they decided to be rainbow butterflies like Abby.
After fun at the kids zone we visited Domino Farms petting zoo. The animals were all out ready to be fed when we arrived.
This is how the Boone family gets around these days...not what you had in mind right?
Smiles all around
The boys took turns on the horseback riding. Carter wanted to walk beside the horse while Landon rode.
That night Bob and Bill headed out to the festival while Laura and I held down the fort with 5 kids. We ended the evening with baths and popcorn. The boys loved watching the popcorn pop out of the popper.
We always have fun with our friends in Chelsea!
