Legends Baseball

Image
Not only were Carter and Landon playing baseball but Nolan got his chance also to swing for the fences this summer.  Nolan played on the Legends coach pitch team.  Bob helped to coach and pitch whenever there wasn't a conflict with the other boys.  Nolan loves to play sports with all of his friends. Nolan's hard work landed him a spot on the all-star team. After all-stars, Nolan's team battled into the tournament championship game. Maw Maw and Paw Paw drove up to watch him play his very best. They were victorious!!!  Way to go Legends! The boys earned a trophy and the coaches earned a ring for their victory! Yes, the championship ring thing may be the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever seen.  You can see that Bob thought he won the World Series mvp ring.  ðŸ¤£ðŸ¤£ Great season Nolan!!

Vilts quick visit to Ohio

Image
We were so excited to have the Vilt's visit us here in Ohio. We were able to spend about 4 days with them.  We jammed those 4 days full of fun times.  We played at Lakewood Park, had a picnic, played dust baseball, hiked, and posed by the skyline of Cleveland. Our favorite summer pose is to get all the kids with popsicles on Maw Maw and Paw Paw's wooden swing.  This swing has been around since 1996...it's been used in so many important family memories. The Vilt's surprised us in Bowling Green for the boys state baseball tournament.   On Father's Day we all drove down to Bucyrus to hang out with Paw Paw.  It was a beautiful day and we spent hours fishing at Uncle Bobby and Aunt Judy's.  Grandma Grocho was feeling great surrounded by all her sweet great grandchildren. We had such a great time together. We miss them so much.

Carter turns 12!

Image
Each year as June 10th approaches, we can't believe how quickly our oldest has grown up.  12 years!!! Where did that time go...He is our logical, over-thinker, negotiating, leader with a tad bit of stubbornness.  He challenges us but we continue to remind ourselves this quality will be helpful when he is an adult.   We spent his birthday at Cedar Point with our neighborhood friends.  Mrs. Percival told Carter that she would join him in the thrill ride the Slingshot if he wanted.  Carter is an adrenaline junkie for sure so there was no doubt that he was jumping on that opportunity.   Later that week, he gathered his friends for an evening at Dave and Buster's.  Lots of games, food, and tickets were had by all! Can't believe this guy is 12 this year!  He is growing up way to fast.

Soccer spring season

Image
Baseball has taken a lot of our time but we still managed to squeeze in a spring soccer season.  This is my favorite sport to watch the boys play.  On Carter's team, Landon plays up to help them out.  Carter plays defense and Landon plays offense and I love when Carter defends a goal and then sails the ball to Landon and Landon gets a goal...Boone Brothers!!! Nolan's soccer team ended their season with a County Championship.  These three boys have such a great time together. Champs!

Panthers Baseball: What a season!!!

Image
This baseball season has been one full of fun, great memories, wonderful families, and so much more.  The boys started the season with the Panthers Baseball Black team coached by Bob.  This was a choice we made as a family to give our boys a chance to enjoy the game and get an opportunity to play multiple positions together with their friends without as much pressure. This was their team photo this year...it's my favorite! Putting in time in the pre season to get stronger! Boys worked out and practiced at the new local indoor facility...Legends Athletics. Game 1 of the season was a bit cold.   We were thankful that the sweatshirts we purchased for the boys could be used as a jersey when it was in the low 40's for games.  If you look real close in the background, you can see Penny cheering on Landon’s diving catch.  Penny came to as many games as she could and was often referred to as the team mascot.  Players would come out of the dugout between innings to ...
