Holiday in the panhandle

Christmas is always a wonderful time of the year.  Last year we scheduled a visit with Danielle and her family and we decided to repeat it again this year.  The boys woke up early on Christmas morning...before the sunrise...and stormed the bedrooms of Maw Maw and Paw Paw and coaxed Bob and I downstairs too. It was a blissful morning as the boys unwrapped their presents from us and their gift from Santa.  Our favorite gift the boys received was their new robes to wear to the hot tub.  We cracked up because they insisted on wearing them all day long.

After we finished opening presents we loaded up the cars and started our road trip to Florida.  Our first stop was once again Lousiville Kentucky.  The temperature was in 60's so we walked down to the Bourbon Barrel Photo Opp.

Next, we walked down through Fourth Street to see the extra-large Christmas tree.

Early the next morning we continued south but stopped once in Alabama to see Hurrican Creek.  It was a beautiful day and the boys were excited to run around outside.

Chilling under a waterfall

We arrived around lunchtime in Destin Flordia.  The sun was shining but the wind was blowing so much that it felt much cooler.  We grabbed sandwiches from Subway and headed to the beach.

The first day the sun was out and we jumped at the chance to play disc golf together.

We rented a house were we could all be together.  The ice cream truck even drove through everyday.

My favorite gift to try out was my "Pouch Couch".  It is a relaxing couch made by filling it with wind.  Thank goodness for the wind because it worked out just fine.

The pool at the center of the houses was amazing.  The worst part was that it was not heated.  The kids spent most of their time in the hot tub and then when it got too hot they would jump in the pool to cool off.

Addie and I enjoyed sewing together in the evenings.

Boys had a fun day putt putt golfing.

Arcade fun!

Maylee sure loved spending time with the boys

Culvers for the win!  Paw Paw was in charge of the kids table.

Bob took the boys golfing twice. Yup, twice. Landon couldn’t break the baseball swing, which was alright by Bob.

Bob said by the 9th hole it was a little bit of a clown show. Nolan wanted Landon to tee off from his mouth.   Not sure if our dental plan covers accidents in Florida.

Flordia just wouldn't be Florida without a shopping trip to the outlet mall!

Underwater bowling!!!

This sweet little firecracker was so much fun!

On New Years Eve we stopped by a restaurant called FuddPuckers.  They had live alligators all over the location.  They even had an albino alligator named Pearl.
Her eyes were as creepy as it gets

Boys watched her fish for some raw chicken filets.

Carter decided to go for some gator bites for dinner. He said they were pretty dang good. Tasted like chicken.

Landon could often be found taking advantage of bubble baths in Maw Maw and Paw Paw's jet tub.

Maylee loved playing with the boys

It was a great vacation with the family we love.
