Halloween 2019

The Halloween holiday is one that we absolutely love and try to celebrate often with different locations and friends.  Our favorite tradition is to trick or treat at Cedar Point.  We have been coming ever since we moved back from Michigan with the boys.  It is a great event where we walk through the park after hours and stop at candy stations to trick or treat and then make a donation to a local food bank. My parents love to come up and join us for this event.

Jill Bob and her granddaughter Maddie, met us this year and she loved walking around gathering candy.  The boys were so sweet to her.

Matt was involved in a fund raising costume dinner that Bob and I attended as robbers!  It was a lot of fun!

Early Saturday morning before trick or treat, the boys carved pumpkins in the kitchen with Aunt Katie.

Trick or treat in our neighborhood happens the Saturday before Halloween.  This year it was rainy and windy but you would have never know because the kids had a blast either way!

Unlike any year before this, the boys and friends came back to the house after trick or treating and spent quite a bit of time inventorying their stash and trading amongst themselves.

The next day we went trick or treating with Matt, Katie, Lilly, and Ben in their neighborhood.  It was still pretty cold but no rain!!

So on Halloween it was freezing cold with gale force winds...we had thought we would trick or treat downtown Amherst but we decided against it.  It was also national caramel apple day so we invited the Haney family over to bob for apples in the kitchen and then eat caramel apples together!

It was a great Halloween season!
