Whirlwind weekend: Trout Release, 10 miler, and Nolan turns 2!

Each year, Vermilion hosts a trout release. This is where the local fish hatchery brings 26, 000 baby rainbow trout to be shot out of a tube into the Vermilion River. It is a very cool event that I look forward to each year. During Art class, all students create a poster that tells the story of the journey of the trout from the river to Lake Erie. It is judged by local employees of City Hall. We found out on Wednesday that Carter had won first prize for Kindergarten! We kept it a secret until Friday morning when they announced that he had won he was in shock. This meant that not only would he get a fishing pole but he got the chance to place some fish into the river too! The winner with his fishing pole prize.
