Having Fun!
So today winds down the great week of spring break. We have had a great time spending time with family and friends. I am not however looking forward to heading back to work tomorrow...just 43 more teaching days though! Carter has recently become very interested in colors. He will point and ask (in his language) what color and when you say the color he tries to repeat it. He can match and sort things with the same colors. I have this app on my phone called "kids socks" where he has to tap the matching sock to send it down the clothesline and he is really good at it. His vocabulary is growing with words such as : tat=hat, wheels, no mama, mommy, dada, tat way, down, downstairs, cars, and nose. He can point out his ears, head, eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, hands, feet, toes, and hair. It amazes me how much he is learning right now. Landon is a crawling maniac and stands up while holding onto everything. Bob predicts that within a month he will be walking. That day will be crazy. He loves to smile and laugh at just about everything that Carter does. It is too cute to watch them enjoy each other. However, Carter is a rough dude. If I blink he can have Landon in a headlock on the carpet within seconds. Landon's pain tolerance is so high. He takes so much from Carter but I think very soon he will get Carter back. On Friday night, Carter has having such a hard time falling asleep so I just put him in his crib to cry it out. I then went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and all of a sudden Carter was standing right next to me. Yep, he jumped out of his crib. Fearless! On Saturday morning my friend and I went to a kids resale at Avon Lake and they had a firetruck toddler bed. I got a good deal on it and brought it home and set it up for him. He loved it. He slept in it from 9:30pm-3am. Then he started crying and wandered down the hallway into our room and bed. I am not sure how to fix this quite yet--need to do some research from experienced moms. He took a 2 hour nap in it this afternoon. It is just crazy to me when he wakes up he just walks downstairs looking for me. It is so cute but a realization that he is growing up too stinkin fast.
