The Boone Family First Flight!
Bob had training for his job in Charlotte, NC this weekend so the boys and I decided to join him. I had a doctor's appointment early Thursday morning down in Bucyrus and then mom, the boys and I headed down to the Columbus airport. This was the first time the boys had ever flown so I was nervous and excited. When we got on the plane the flight attendant told us that the flight had empty seats and that he would leave the seats next to us open. Amazing!! The boys did great! Landon fell asleep half way through. Carter and I colored, read books, and stared out the window! Carter fell asleep 2 minutes before we landed but it was fine. Mom and I had a boy in an umbrella stroller, a bag, and a carry-on on wheels. We looked insane but it was fine. Friday we went to see my dearest friends from college, Eric and Megan Greiser. They live in Charlotte. On Saturday we took the boys to Discovery Place Kids. This was the coolest place ever. They had things for the boys to climb on, play on, create, splash, etc. We had a blast. The weather was over 80 degrees so afterwards we headed back to their house and played in the backyard. The boys played with bubbles, corn hole, chalk, and a ball. I am a sunburned lobster. If you know me, you know that I wanted to soak up every little bit of sun I could. Definitely not the smartest life decision. I am paying for it today! The flight home was very good! Both boys slept from take off to landing! Now that we have this adventure under our belt--look out!
Landon has two bottom teeth that are about the cutest thing I have ever seen. I love to hear him run his tongue over them. Carter is now starting to become possessive over EVERYTHING. He will say "Mine" and it is driving me nuts! I have to constantly say it may be yours but please share! Wow, I didn't think the idea of sharing would be this difficult. It is exhausting!
Now that the weather is getting nice...well, I guess it wants to be nice out, we have started wearing short sleeve shirts. Carter freaks out and tries to pull the sleeves down. I think this is a transitional thing that too will pass.
I am looking forward to the summer!
