Sorry we haven't blogged in a while this whole event is taking a while get used to. Since the delivery I had a huge headache. It was so painful in the front of my head. It only didn't hurt when I was laying down. The nurses thought I should get up and try to walk around the floor to help it. Let me tell you what, that so didn't help. It made me nauseous and light hurt my head. Finally on Sunday they decided to try a blood patch. A blood patch is where they do an epidural into the hole they first did the spinal tap and inject blood to create a clot that will take pressure away from my headache. I was so excited when we finally had this procedure done at 6:45pm on Sunday night. Immediately following the procedure I had to lay flat for 2 hrs straight to make sure the clot didn't more. I finally felt better around 9:30pm but I still was not to sit up straight. Monday morning I woke up and felt much better and Bob and I took our little man and headed home. It's so much better to be at home than at the hospital. The first night at home was crazy. Carter is doing very well but he wants to be close to me all the time. We are letting him be close and watching how he reacts to Landon. He has been fussy and refuses to take a nap. I am hoping that he adjusts. Carter has been sleeping through the night which has helped because the first night home with Landon he woke up every 30 minutes to eat. He did better last night. He woke up at 10:30pm and then again 1:55am, 2:40am, 3:49am, and 4:56am. I forgot how hard it is function without sleep. My mom is here to help and Bob is home until Thursday. He has been enjoying spending time with Carter. They went to Gymbo to play and that was great for the boys to hang out! Many people have been calling to check and see how we are doing. We are doing well and are learning how to adjust to this life change. We would love to have visitors but please text or call before so we can pretend to have it all together!
