True Stories in our Real Life

Image
These stories are real believe me… Landon received his first sun-ray note home.  Mrs. Lowe stopped me in the hallway to tell me about the incident before he gave me the note.  Apparently while lining up a classmate got out of line in front of Landon and then when he tried to get back in line Landon thought he was cutting in line.  Landon decided to bite him.  When we got home I asked Landon to unload his folder.  He grabbed his folder and immediately headed toward the trash can very sneakily. I watched him and he then said, "Mom I need you to go in the other room for a second so I can do something."  I knew that sneaky little boy was trying to throw away that note so I wouldn't see it.  I opened the folder and sure enough it was there.  When I asked him about what happened, he said, "I wouldn't of had to bite him if he didn't cut me.  You know, No cuts, No buts, and No coconuts!"  Try keeping a straight face after that!!! Autumn fun is upon us

Oh, how I hate to see summer go but I get giddy with excitement thinking of all the fun there is to be had in autumn.  I miss our time in Michigan when we were heading from orchard to pumpkin patch at any chance we could get.  So…we drove up to visit family and friends for the weekend and to take advantage of some fall fun. Saturday morning we went to watch Tesa play volleyball and the boys had a fun time running races in the gym between games. After that we met the Lokers at Aber Orchard in Manchester.  We had never been there so were were excited to see what all it had to offer. There were pumpkins, gourds, farm animals, apples, doughnuts, and a straw maze. The boys chose their own pumpkin.  Nolan kept saying, "My watermelon" The trio Landon's pumpkin pick The orchard was such a peaceful place.  We arrived about 15 minutes before closing but since the owners live on the property they encouraged us to stay and enjoy ourselves.  Twist o...

First day of school

This school year is a big change for us because we will have TWO kids in school!  Where the time goes I will never know but it's here!   Carter begins his first grade year with Mr. Malear (Uncle Matt) and Mrs. Y.  He is very excited. After school I asked Carter if it was tricky to call Uncle Matt, Mr. Malear and he said…"Half of my brain wanted to call him Uncle Matt but the classroom side of my brain wanted me to call him Mr. Malear and that side won!"  Oh the things that come out of his mouth! Maw Maw loves to be here on the first day of school and it really helps us out with an extra set of hands getting everyone ready and out the door on time. Bob always goes in late to work so he can be a part of the first day too.  This is super special and the boys look forward to it. I was even able to get away from my daily duties to snag a picture with the first grader! So excited for his first grade adventure!  ...
