Find Out or Not?

The most frequently asked question by friends, family, and strangers is...Are you going to find out the sex of the baby? From the beginning I have said that I wanted it to be a surprise. You don't get many surprises in your lifetime so this would be incredible. I wanted to choose a name for each sex and then when the baby arrived we would then know who our baby would be. Bob has wanted to know since the day we found out we were pregnant. He says that he wants to prepare for who the baby would be so he could call the bump a he or a she instead of it. Many people have told me pros and cons to either way. I don't care about making it easier for people to purchase gifts. I care about the "moment"! My life is all about the "moments". This past weekend while with people from Bob's work a woman said her and her husband had the doctor write the sex of the baby on a piece of paper and seal it in an envelope. Then when they went out to dinner just the two of them later on in the pregnancy and opened the letter to reveal the sex of the baby. I thought that was a cool idea. That I am thinking is an idea I might be okay with. At least Bob and I could share that "moment" with each other. Stay tuned to see what we decide!

My thoughts on this.....WAAAIIITTT! The three most awesome words I've ever heard in my life after 21 hours of labor- "it's a girl!" Nothing will ever beat that surprise!

how fun! the dinner idea sounds cool too. i don't know if i could wait, but i would like to think i could....gosh what a decision! you will have a "moment" one way or another, and i know you and bob will make it a special one if you do dinner and open the envelope together. every time i think about it, i just smile because i'm so happy :)
