Schools out!

Image
The end of this school year has finally arrived.  Boy, has it been an unforgettable year for the boys and for me in my teaching career.  We are so exited to get this summer fun started.         Family Selfie before the last day!! To celebrate the last day of school, Bob picked the boys up at the end of the day and whisked them off to Goofy Golf.  They were over the moon to have fun with Dad at an unexpected super fun place. Bring on Summer!

Art Show!

Image
Each year towards the end of school, the Art program hosts it annual art fair where each student showcases their best work.  The boys look forward to this day to show off what they have created.  Carter was excited to show of his 2 point perspective piece.  It's the middle drawing with the #19 in it. This year Landon's artistic ability has really taken off.  He has progressed in taking him time and being creative.  I was stunned to see his drawing of this bald eagle. Two budding artists on our hands!

Our soccer family

Soccer season has come to an end for the spring.  What a great group of boys we have together.  We as parents love to chat and have a good time as the boys are out there getting better each time.  It is so much fun to watch these kids play together and get better along the way.  It will be so fun to watch them when they are in high school together.  We are so thankful for the memories we have with these boys and their families!

Oh the days of our lives...

Here are some silly moments I don't want to forget: A few weeks ago after school we went up to have dinner at Brew Kettle, a local restaurant in downtown Amherst.  This is a place where Bob goes to eat wings so they recognize him when we arrive.  After our meal it was a beautiful evening so we decided to walk to the ice cream store a few blocks over.  Once we ordered ice cream for everyone in the family, Carter said that he had to use the restroom.  Of course there were no public restrooms so Carter and I began to walk up and down the streets looking for a business open.  The closest place was a coffee shop downtown that I have been dying to stop in and see.  When we walked in, a student I had many years ago was the cashier.  I stopped to chat with her while Carter ran to the bathroom.  I felt guilty for stopping in to this place of business without purchasing anything while my son dropped a load in their bathroom, so I ordered a hot chocolate. ...

So long pre-school

Here it is...the end of the Boone era at preschool at DNS.  Nolan was so excited for preschool graduation to perform in front of his big brothers.  It's hard to believe that he is headed to kindergarten. As the classes entered in we tried to snag a photo but he was moving so fast he was a blur. They performed songs and movements along with a presentation of diplomas.  Its so cute to watch the kids smiling and searching for their parents in the crowd.  Nolan waved to us the majority of the time throughout the singing. Here is our saving Grace: Becky.  She has been our babysitter since Carter was just a baby.  She is the best.  She loves the boys just like her own.  They love her.  Never a worry crossed my mind when they were with her.  We are going to miss her like a crazy maniac but we are forever grateful for her love and patience over these 8 years. Grandma Angie and Paw Paw made it up to watch the graduation and we snuck in ...

Nolan is 5!

Nolan's birthday was gator-ific!  Ever since our trip to Florida where he could spot a gator from our resort he has nothing but love for this reptile. His request was a gator birthday cake and Maw Maw delivered!!! We celebrated with family and per Nolan's request, his best friend Bryce, came over too.  Uncle Matt and Ben even came over too!  When you ask Nolan what he wants for his birthday he said, "a puppy"...not sure how long we can hold off on that request because he seems to use it for every holiday gift request. Check out the fruit gator Maw Maw created too! This cool dude is five and ready for anything! Its so funny how quickly a group of boys can end up being shirt less.  It took about 30 minutes.  Nolan loved opening up his present from family and friends. Blowing out candles and making big birthday wishes Grandma Grocho even made the trip up to celebrate with us. It's a great day when you can enjoy a doughnut outside!
